Have you found an interesting job offer in Poland? Before you agree to it, read our tips and take a few simple steps. This will help you to be secure and only choose employment agencies that can truly be trusted.

First,

make sure that the employment agency has a necessary state certificate. The list of certified agencies can be found at the www.kraz.praca.gov.pl website and you can search for any particular one of them.

Second,

one should verify whether such agency is conducting official economic activity and how long has it been present on the market. It also bears checking whether it’s present in the Debtor Registry. All of this information is easy to find in the linked registry.

Thrid

don’t trust job offers published in newspapers or Internet that only contain a contact phone number – especially if it’s a mobile phone.

Fourth,

trustworthy businesses have a professionally designed website containing both job offers and full information on a given agency. Lack of a website might be an indicator of the company being untrustworthy.

Fifth,

never pay the employment agency upfront for finding an employer. Remember that the law forbids Polish employment agencies to seek compensation from the employees for the employment services.

Sixth,

before signing an agreement with a job agency, read its contents carefully. Demand its conditions to be stated in a language you understand well. The key provisions of each such agreement should contain name of the employment agency, beginning and end date of the agreement (with an indefinite time being allowed), hourly compensation (indicated as a net or gross value), the number of work hours per week and other key considerations.

Seventh,

remember that most foreigners in Poland need a permission for work and stay. All changes to the reason for staying or employment conditions require an agreement from Polish authorities. The responsibility for breaching the laws on employing the foreigners is borne by both employers and employees themselves.

Find a job. Stable work in Warsaw, Wroclaw and other cities of Poland.
