Technical Language Expert with Italian - Warszawa

Roles and Responsibilities

·      Participation in development and maintenance of a multilingual voice assistant

·      Preparation of language resources (localization, translation, annotation, corpora, etc.) for NLP systems development

·      Creative writing based on provided style guidelines

·      Evaluation and improvement of NLP-related systems

·      Dialog systems development (Chatbot, NLG)

·      Linguistic input for NLU-related processes

·      Evaluation and quality assurance of linguistic resources

·      Post-edition of machine-translated content

·      Development of new linguistic resources based on actual needs

·      End-to-end product testing

·      Reported issues verification

·      Close collaboration with a multidisciplinary R&D team (engineers, linguists, testers, etc.)

·      Proactive self-development of gained skills, known tools usage, product knowledge

·      Providing linguistic expertise to achieve best product performance and quality

·      Other linguistic tasks depending on actual needs

Skills and Qualifications

·      Native speaker Italian (it-IT) or certified language expert

·      University degree in Language Studies, Translation, Interpreting, Computer Engineering or related fields

·      Deep knowledge of Italian speaking regions

·      Very good command of English (min. C1 level)

·      Previous experience in translation, content creation, proofreading, programming, etc.

·      Strong linguistic and creative writing skills

·      Ability to support several projects at one time, and to accept re-prioritization if necessary

·      Ability to quickly learn and adapt to fast changing environment

·      Efficiency, accuracy and an interest in NLP

·      An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities

·      Very strong communication skills

·      Collaborative and helpful approach in terms of close team cooperation and guidance

·      Practical knowledge of Windows/Linux environment

·      Quality-focus and attention to details

·      Great communication skills, positive attitude and team-work approach

·      Highly motivated to learn and develop

Nice to have

·      Native speaker

·      Command of additional foreign language (es-ES, it-IT, fr-FR, de-DE) proven by a certificate (min. C1 level) or university degree and 

·      Reasonably good command of another European language

·      Knowledge of computational linguistics, programming skills (JavaScript, Pyhton, Git)

·      Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation

·      General knowledge of topics related with Natural Language Processing and previous experience in NLP

·      Understanding the needs and challenges of modern, customer-oriented business
